It's the Fourth of July; it's Independence Day, and I'm about to take a break from my self-imposed work schedule to celebrate. This only sometimes involves fireworks -- which is good, because right now it's raining very, very hard. I went to bed with a touch of some sort of flu-like virus (I had the flu shot, so it better not be some variant of the full version), woke up and called in sick to work due to fairly extreme chills and fever, then propped myself up on the couch with laptop and started catching up on things.
